Personal Training Services
Personal training services include private consultations, fitness evaluations, exercise prescriptions, diet evaluations, and exercise supervision. Contact our office for additional information and appointments for the following services.
Consultations, in the privacy of your home or office, provide the opportunity to discover your attitudes about exercise, review your history, establish personal goals, record some preliminary measures like blood pressure, resting heart rate, and body composition, discuss and demonstrate specific exercises for problem areas, and schedule additional services.
Fitness Evaluations can be done in your home or at your health/fitness club. Measures of aerobic capacity, strength, endurance, and flexibility are compared with national averages for your age and gender. An exercise prescription is developed to meet your goals using the results of the measures. It will include exercises to help improve any limitations discovered during the evaluation. As you improve, follow up evaluations are used to measure progress, modify your program and motivate continued participation.
Diet Evaluations require you to prepare an accurate record of foods you normally eat on a regular basis. Information you provide is entered into an on-line diet analysis program and the report is returned to you by email or reviewed with you during one of your exercise sessions.
Exercise Supervision can be done in your home using various tools and equipment available. Most clients prefer to meet at their club or fitness center. Permission to train with an outside trainer may be required. An additional fee may be assessed by the club for that privilege. We normally schedule an initial set of three sessions to get someone started in their program. Then additional sessions are scheduled as needed for problem solving and changes to your exercise prescription.
