Cardiorespiratory endurance measures
- Resting and exercise blood pressures
- Resting, exercise and recovery heart rates
- Exercise sub maximal workloads on appropriate equipment
- Estimates of maximum Oxygen utilization (the best measure of fitness)
- Determination of best exercise type and intensity for personal needs
- Rating of perceived exertion (RPE)
- Estimate of Anaerobic Threshold
Body Composition measures
- Height, Weight, Body Mass Index
- Various anthropometry measures (circumferences, bone size, skinfolds)
- Determination of percent fat and recommended weight
- Hydrostatic (Under Water) Weighing
Strength measures
- Handgrip strength in relation to body weight
- Any other strength measures specific to job or recreational needs
- Determine need for strength related exercises
Flexibility measures
- Low back and hamstring range of motion
- Any other flexibility measure specific to job or recreational needs
- Determine joint range of motion deficiencies and stretching exercises.
Muscular endurance measures
- Timed abdominal sit ups
- Any other endurance measures specific to needs
- Determine fatigue levels and exercises to improve endurance
